Dr. Jeffry M. Smith
Born in Philadelphia, Pa. and raised in Millville, N.J., Dr. Smith was aiming
for a career in health care from a young age. He worked his way through
Villanova University in Pennsylvania by working in hospitals and received a
bachelor's degree in Biology in 1979. Post-graduate study began at Glassboro
State College in N.J. in Biochemistry and he received his doctorate in
chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College, Marietta, Ga. (also while working
at a local hospital, Kennestone) Dr. Smith and his wife practiced in
Austell, Ga. while he taught at the college. He was an Assistant Professor
at Life Chiropractic College, teaching for nine years in the clinic; six
years as Assistant Clinic Director at the Luckie Street Clinic and one year
as the Clinic Director. Dr. Michelle and he were married in 1990 and moved
to St. Simons Island in 1992. They started Golden Isles Chiropractic, P.C.
and soon purchased the largest clinic in Southeast Georgia, Coastal
Chiropractic Clinic in Brunswick in 1995. As the practice grew, they took on
help and also purchased their second office on St. Simons Island in 1997.
Dr. Smith has extensive studies in Techniques, Radiology, Pediatrics and
Injury Management for Whiplash and Disc Problems. He uses a variety of
